Story
Phylloceras is a genus of medium-sized, smooth-shelled, involute (strongly rolled) ammonites. It occurs almost worldwide throughout the Jurassic and Cretaceous. The enormously sinuous lobe lines are characteristic of the genus. In a way, their shape is reminiscent of leaves.
